Dr. Steven Shaffer, D.C.
Dr. Shaffer has been in practice for since 1994 and is involved in health and wellness in conjunction with the chiropractic practice. He teaches patients how to take care of themselves and understand what it takes to be healthy and live a healthy lifestyle.
He spends time with patients learning about their history and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long term health and complex diseases. He is dedicated to providing patients and providing the best care possible and is also a firm believer in holistic and natural health.
Prior to going into a chiropractic practice, Dr. Shaffer was an athletic trainer and Rolfer. His practice utilizes Applied Kinesiology, Neuro Emotional Technique(NET), sport rehabilitation, and class 4 laser therapy. He enjoys helping patients learn that they can live again!
Keverne Collison, C.H.P, C.N
Clinical Nutritionist and Homeopath
Keverne Collison is certified in Homeopathy, Clinical Nutrition, Massage Therapy and Emotional Stress Integration. She has been in practice since 1998 and has a passion for helping others be their best in mind, body and spirit.
She is a nutritional consultant and homeopath who uses meridian stress assessment testing to help you access your optimal health. She uses therapeutic supplementation, dietary changes, herbs and homeopathy to help you achiever your best health.
Stacy earned her Ultrasound Technician Certificate from the Modern Technology School of Fountain Valley. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and has also completed the AIMLA Medical Laser Certification, the Restorative Therapy FES Ergometry Certification, the Interactive Metronome Certification, and the Kennedy Techniques Decompression Table Certification. Stacy’s diverse skill set, drawn from her continued education courses, makes her a vital part of our team at NMC. Stacy is passionate about sharing her knowledge of health and fitness with others. She believes that proper food and exercise can both fuel and heal the body, helping to improve anxiety, mood, and overall wellbeing. Stacy loves to spend her free time horseback riding, hiking, and painting.
Judy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in English Literature from California State University, Long Beach. Before joining the NMC team, Judy gained work experience with her family’s automotive business, but she notes that a highlight of her early career was serving with the Peace Corps in Cambodia as a lead English teacher for several years. Judy believes that her time spent in Cambodia helped her see the power in using natural resources to heal the body as an alternative to pharmaceutical drugs. Judy is passionate about the effectiveness of homeopathy, chiropractic care, and nutritional supplementation and plans to continue her education to become a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner. In her free time, Judy loves doing yoga, working on DIY projects, and living by the beach.
SCI Program Coordinator/ Exercise Instructor
Elise earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from California State University, Long Beach. She is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and has also completed the AIMLA Medical Laser Certification as well as the Restorative Therapy FES Ergometry Certification. Before joining the NMC team, Elise worked for five years in the Physical Therapy and large fitness club settings teaching corrective exercise. Elise believes that exercise is key to a happy, fun, and healthy life, and that there is always a way to modify exercise to suite people’s individual needs and abilities. When Elise is not at the clinic, you can find her at the beach or in the mountains, running, hiking, swimming, and cycling.
Patricia earned her Massage Therapist Certification from Concord Career Institute. Prior to joining the NMC team, Patricia worked as a Massage Therapist for eleven years in the clinical and spa settings. Patricia enjoys her work as a massage therapist because it allows her to help her client's reach a healthy and pain-free lifestyle. She believes that eating nutritious food, being active and stretching routinely can help individuals discover their best self. In her free time, Patricia loves to go on hikes or walks with her kids, and play board games with her family.
